| A) |
Awareness programs are conducted for quarry owners and sub-contractors highlighting concerns about safe working methods, health care for employees and prohibition of child labour. |
|

To help address the issue of children playing at quarries, while their parents work, we have set up a crèche at Village Rajpura at the quarries. Children enrolled are provided books, uniforms and a free mid-day meal. Though modest, such steps allow quarry workers' children an opportunity for basic education. |

Primary health care facilities are lacking at villages in the sandstone quarrying regions. We regularly conduct health camps by sending a team of Doctors to villages to provide free check-ups and medication . |

We have provided basic infrastructure by building classrooms and donating computers to schools in the quarry region. Students have been encouraged by distribution of free school bags and books. Our European customers have keenly participated in this welfare effort by providing school shoes and football jerseys for students. |

Due to a combination of high population and inadequate funding local hospitals operate with limited facilities. We help to relieve some of the pressure through our efforts by providing bed-linen, blankets and even air conditioners to operation theatres in the city of Kota. |

Our commitment to environment has been paramount. Spent quarries have been filled and planted to turn rocky wastelands into a green cover for a cleaner environment. |

We implement eco sensitive practices at our worksites as well. Only sustainable wood is used for packaging. |

Our factories adopt rain water harvesting techniques to recharge ground water. We re-cycle water through sedimentation plants at our factories to minimize the impact of our processes on the environment. |
